1. How to remove tan from your body

• You'll need a body exfoliant to loofah to gently scrub the fake tan from your body. Dry brushing before showering can also do wonders. Many brands also carry fake tan removers to remove your body tan without the extra labour.

2. What type of body tan should you choose?

• It depends on what you're after. Tanning mousse is popular because it's easy to apply and dries quickly. Lotions are good for drier skin as they're more moisturising. Sprays are handy for hard-to-reach areas. And gradual tanners are fab if you want a subtle, buildable colour.

3. How many pumps of fake tan per body part?

• This will largely depend on how intense you want your tan. Increase the number of pumps per body part to maximise coverage and glow. We recommend starting with 1 pump per body part first and slowly upping your tan to ensure you don't go overboard.

4. How long does a body tan last?

• Usually about five to seven days, depending on how well you look after it. Moisturising daily helps it last longer. And avoid harsh scrubs or long hot baths, they'll fade it quicker.

5. How do you avoid streaks and patches with a body tan?

• Prep is everything. Exfoliate, moisturise, and apply evenly. Don't put too much on your hands and feet. If you do get streaks, you can try gently exfoliating those areas or using a tan eraser. And if you're really worried, a gradual tanner is a good starting point, less room for error.
