The Best Drunk Elephant Bronzing Drops Dupes

Bronzing Drop Dupe Image

If you haven’t heard of the viral Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Drops by now, you’ve probably been living under a rock (in which case, you’ll definitely want to invest in one of these products to get your tan back).

This TikTok-famous product from clean skincare brand Drunk Elephant boasts both makeup and skincare benefits that makes it obvious why it’s so beloved.

Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops

£34.00

What is in the Drunk Elephant Bronzing Drops?

In addition to giving you an instant sun-kissed glow, the Bronzing Drops contain omega-rich marula oil, blackcurrant seed oil and vitamin F to support a healthy skin barrier, and antioxidants from ingredients like white tea and cocoa to shield the skin from pollution damage (i.e., premature ageing).

For additional anti-ageing benefits, these drops contain a peptide blend for better skin elasticity and chronocyclin to keep skin looking youthful.

As for what's not in these drops, you'll be glad to know that it's 100% free of essential oils, silicones, and fragrance to avoid irritating the skin.

How do you use the Drunk Elephant Bronzing Drops?

All you have to do is mix these concentrated drops with your fave moisturiser, SPF, serum or oil and massage into the skin to get an instant and customisable golden glow over your entire face. You can also mix it into body lotion for an all-over tan or up the dosage to apply around the neckline, forehead, cheekbones and nose as you might a regular bronzer.

Unlike tanning drops, this product gives you immediate results that are removed with cleanser at the end of the day, but unlike bronzer it definitely needs to be mixed with a base product before application.

Dupes for the Drunk Elephant Bronzing Drops

However, while the D-Bronzi Drops aren’t quite a self-tanner and aren’t quite a bronzer, we’ll be sifting through Cosmetify’s huge collection of both to bring you the closest alternatives.

Since blowing up during a GRWM TikTok from makeup artist Alix Earle, this product has been pretty much impossible to get your hands on. Add its scarcity to the somewhat hefty price tag (though a little does go a long way), and you’ve got the perfect equation for needing a list of dupes!

Drunk Elephant Bronzing Drops Dupes: Bronzers and Body Lotions

For the instant results that Drunk Elephant offers, we’ve rounded up some bronzing products and tinted moisturisers that act as great D-Bronzi Drop dupes. These carefully selected products also contain skincare benefits like the D-Bronzi Drops to nourish and protect your complexion.

SOSU by SJ Dripping Gold Bronze Bar

£13.23

The Bronze Bar from SOSU by SJ promises the same hydrated, nourished glow as the D-Bronzi Drops, melting easily into your skin for a velvety finish infused with shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil and vitamin E. It works for the face as well as the body, maintaining the D-Bronzi's versatility too. While it can't be customised like the bronzing drops, it's very travel-friendly and pops into your makeup bag for mess-free bronzing wherever you go.

St Tropez Instant Glow Body Bronzer

£15.88

Like a pre-mixed version of the D-Bronzi Drops, this St Tropez Instant Glow Body Bronzer gives you instant results without the need for developing time and washes off just as quickly. It's super quick and easy to apply with the help of an applicator mitt, and stays smudge- and transfer-proof all day long. With its subtle fragrance and skin-blurring finish, you'll really be feeling yourself when you buff on a little of this body bronzer.

Bare by Vogue Instant Tan

£16.77

Similar to the St Tropez Body Bronzer, this Bare by Vogue Instant Tan gives you, well, an instant tan. Get natural-looking, washable colour in seconds, plus the nourishing benefits of peptides, goji berry, chamomile, pomegranate and oatmeal. With three different shades, this tanning body lotion is a lovely alternative for the D-Bronzi Drops for full-body coverage. It also blurs imperfections!

PIXI On-the-Glow Bronze

£20.80

Another D-Bronzi dupe we love is PIXI's On-the-Glow Bronze stick. With revitalising ginseng, soothing aloe vera, antioxidant green tea and moisturising sunflower and castor oils, this bronzer stick holds its own for skincare benefits. It's really only meant to be used to bronze certain areas of the face rather than the entire face, making it slightly less versatile, but the stick format is more convenient and travel-friendly, and there are four shades to choose from where the bronzing drops only offer one.

Sculpted by Aimee Tint & Glow Skin Enhancer

£22.96

To get your entire complexion glowing rather than bronzing just a few areas, we love a tinted moisturiser. They're always infused with skincare benefits and their sheer coverage gives you the same natural look as Drunk Elephant's bronzing drops. This Tint & Glow Skin Enhancer from Sculpted by Aimee is a great choice, imparting similar pollution and UV protection as the original through SPF 30 and blue light-blocking carrot root extract. Plus, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide in the formula hydrate and protect the skin for long-lasting radiance.

Drunk Elephant Bronzing Drop Dupes: Tanning Drops

If you love the drop format of the D-Bronzi Drops, then these hand-picked tanning drops are for you. Designed to be mixed into other products just like our original, these alternatives give you the same sheer tint but with longer-lasting results. They also pack a skin-loving punch with nourishing ingredients your complexion will thank you for.

Hello Sunday The Self Tan One Sun Kissed Drops

£20.00

You'll get the same buildable bronzed look from these Hello Sunday tanning drops as well as the antioxidant protection of vitamin C and UV resistant from rhodiola extract. There's also beet extract in the formula for hydration and softness. By adding a few drops into your moisturiser every night, you can slowly build up a natural-looking tan for a finish that rivals the D Bronzi.

TAN-LUXE The Face Illuminating Self Tan Drops

£38.05

And of course, we just had to include something from TAN-LUXE on this list. The Face Illuminating Self Tan Drops from this fake tanner brand is an award-winning concentrate that can be mixed with moisturisers, serums or oils for buildable colour. With similar skincare benefits, thanks to the inclusion of raspberry seed oil, vitamin E and aloe vera for hydration, antioxidants, it's a great dupe for the Drunk Elephant bronzing drops. It does take two to four hours to develop, but it also lasts longer than the bronzing drops.

Skinny Tan Coconut Water Face Serum Tanning Drops

£19.99

Skinny Tan's Face Serum Tanning Drops hydrate your skin as they gradually build a natural-looking tan. Developing over six to eight hours when mixed in with foundation or moisturiser, these drops are packed with ingredients like antioxidant vitamin E, anti-ageing coenzyme Q10, and calming aloe vera, plus coconut water, guarana and blackberry leaf extract. As a bonus, the delicious tropical scent is to die for!

Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops

£22.08

If the single shade of the D-Bronzi drops doesn't feel customisable enough for you, try these Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops, which are not only buildable in depth but come in three shades for different skin tones. The streak-free formula is also bursting with ingredients like chia seed, avocado oil and coconut oil that keep your tan hydrated and healthy-looking.

Now that you've picked out a few dupes to try, check out our edit on The Best Moisturisers with SPF to mix your tanning drops with.
