Weleda Hypercal Wound Salve is a traditional herbal medicinal ointment designed to help relieve painful cuts and minor wounds, based on longstanding use. Use it for skin-only application when you need soothing support for grazes and superficial damage.
The salve is made with extracts of St John’s Wort (Hypericum) and calendula, which are listed as the active substances in the product’s traditional herbal formulation. Weleda advises applying the ointment directly to the affected area (or onto a dry dressing) two or three times daily, and for use up to one week.
Notable ingredients include Wool Fat (lanolin), sunflower oil, olive oil, yellow beeswax, and wool alcohols, alongside the St John’s Wort and calendula tinctures. Some people may experience irritation when first applied, so discontinue if you notice redness, itching or dry skin.
