Cheirosa is a Brazilian term, which describes someone who smells delicious and irresistible. Sol de Janeiro have used this term to name a range of their most popular fragrances.
However, their Cheirosa '71 fragrance is inspired by their muse Leila Diniz, who was a Brazilian actress. In 1971 she defied the conservative nature of the time and wore a bikini on the beach at eight months pregnant. The brand wants to emulate this joy and body positivity across their collection.
