Founded by the world-renowned trichologist Philip Kingsley, this award-winning collection bridges the space between science and hairdressing.
The man behind the brand was born in London’s East End in 1930. Having begun his career at his uncle’s salon, passion, perseverance and talent saw him open up flagship stores in first Mayfair, and then New York. His reputation was further enhanced when Sir Laurence Olivier took the unprecedented decision to send the entire National Theatre company to him.
Philip was the man who coined the phrase ‘bad hair day’ and, more importantly, the brains behind the world’s first pre-shampoo conditioner. Having introduced the idea of different ‘hair textures’ to the beauty industry, he became considered by many the world’s pre-eminent expert on hair and scalp hair.
Having established himself as both a celebrity favourite and icon in his own right, Philip decided to create a salon range based on his unique clinical formulations. The resulting collection is a trichologically-driven collection that addresses hair’s health, integrity and appearance. Uncompromisingly excellent, it has accumulated not just recognition but also innumerable awards.
