theBalm Cosmetics was founded in 2004, by Marissa Shipman; with the ambition of creating a cosmetics line that would provide people with high-quality beauty quick-fixes.

Marissa decided to delve into her cosmetic curiosities, by reading up on makeup and the production process. She was then inspired to design a brand, so she incorporated the company and hired a chemist to develop a makeup collection that would be formulated with anti-aging ingredients, triple-milled pigments and fabulous scents.

Their philosophy of ‘beauty in five minutes’, simply represents the innovation behind the product range. It’s designed to give busy women the opportunity to feel and look glamourous in minutes. This is the creative concept behind the brand – and its no wonder they are widely-loved in the industry today.

theBalm focuses on creating ingenious and versatile makeup items including their best-selling Mary-lou Manizer highlighter and Bahama Mama bronzing powder— which are both multi-tasking beauty items, and are of a compact size to suit travel purposes and on-the-go use.

They now offer a ravishing range of cosmetics, that are both cruelty-free and paraben free - not to mention their talc-free shadow formulations and blushers.

Now, eleven years later they continually strive to create multi-functional cosmetics, that are available worldwide.
