The Santa Maria Novella Tabacco Toscano Diffuser is a room fragrance diffuser designed to fill your home with a warm, smoky and woody scent. Part of the Firenze 1221 collection, it’s inspired by Tuscan tobacco known as Herba catharinaria, traditionally linked to Caterina de’ Medici. The diffuser uses eight wooden sticks, which absorb the fragrance and release it gradually into the air.
Expect an olfactory profile that blends bergamot with Tuscan tobacco leaves and leather, then deepens into amber, birchwood and cedarwood. The base notes include guaiacum, sandalwood, musk and vanilla for a rich, lingering finish. The brand describes the result as smoky and woody, with an intense, leathery character. It’s intended to be set on a stable surface away from direct heat sources, after inserting the sticks and allowing them time to absorb the scent.
