London Fashion Week SS20 Beauty Predictions
London Fashion Week is fast approaching and here at Cosmetify we’re eager to see what weird and wonderful beauty looks come from the runway. Known for its ground-breaking fashion moments, London Fashion Week is the perfect place to go for styling that pushes the beauty limits. And we couldn’t be giddier to see what SS20 has to offer.
With that in mind, we’ve all clubbed together to do our best Mystic Meg impression. Take a look as we foretell the future and roundup our beauty predictions for the upcoming fashion event.
1. Punk is back
We’re predicting punk will be all the rage when it comes to styling this season – think plenty of attitude with a big splash of colour. Achieve a punk look with bold, graphic eyeliner that doesn’t play by the rules. Using bright colours on the eyes is a great way to dip your toes into this iconic trend without going the full hog and dying your hair pink.
NYX Professional Makeup Vivid Brights Eyeliner is the perfect product to achieve that rebel, punk look. In an array of nine neon shades, you’re sure to pack a punch with the long-lasting liquid formula.
2. Romance isn’t dead
On the flip side, the Cosmetify beauty gurus are foretelling that romance will also hit the runway. This will be in the form of soft, subtle hair waves and fresh faced, rose-tinted looks. With a hint of colour on the cheeks and barely-there eye makeup, this trend is perfect for the transition into colder, winter weather.
Create a beautiful, flushed look with the iconic Benefit Benetint rose-tinted lip and cheek stain. This two-in-one product is the perfect way to add a hint of rosy colour, which lasts all day long.
3. Bronzed babes
The sun may not be making a return, but that doesn’t mean we have to put the bronzer down. We’re still on the tanning train and think brands at London Fashion Week will be too. Sun-kissed skin and freckles will be all over the catwalks. Remember, fake it till you make it: don’t scrimp on the bronzer and add your own fake freckles. This is a great way to achieve a youthful glow without any of the sun damage.
This liquid bronzer is a must-have beauty product all year round. The NARS bronzer helps you achieve a warm, shimmering look – fantastic by itself or added to your usual makeup routine.
4. Abstract beauty
Colouring outside the lines may seem silly as a child, but in the beauty world anything goes. We’re predicting that London Fashion Week will have a sea of fun, bold colours. Expect eye makeup that defies gravity and goes above and beyond the usual formulaic looks we’re used to seeing. Think outside the box and have fun with exaggerated eye makeup.
Create ethereal, abstract looks with the Huda Beauty Obsession Eyeshadow Palette in Neon Pink. With matte, metallic and shimmering shadows you can easily create other-worldly looks which take your beauty routine to the next level.
5. Embellishments galore
One exciting trend we're eager to see is the bling that will rock the runway – and we don’t just mean jewellery. We’re talking gems, rhinestones and pearls decorating fabulous hairstyles and bold makeup looks. This is a fun way to add some dazzle to your beauty routine. Perhaps not one for the office, but we’re excited to see where this trend ends up.
Bejewel your beauty looks next season with Lottie London. These jewels are a great way to achieve a dazzling look as they are easy to apply on your face and body.
6. Braids, braids, braids
Braids have always been big, but this year they’re going to be even bigger and better than ever. With intricate detailing, embellishments and hair accessories, we think we’re in for a treat when it comes to #hairinspo.
Lock down your braids and plaits with the iconic L’Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray. Professionals and amateurs alike love this specially developed formula due to its supreme hold capabilities.
