London Fashion Week is an event that is not to be missed, especially if you’re a sucker for vibrant colours, quirky outfit combinations and glamour galore.

Spreading a buzz all over London, fashionistas hit the streets to showcase some of their best garments and accessories. From bougie Instagrammers with their carefully curated monochrome outfits to colour-hype creatives, Somerset House was invaded by a swarm of stylish individuals who were all desperate to get papped.

Keen to see what the fashion and beauty world has conjured up for the coming months, we hit the streets of London to photograph some of prettiest – and often wackiest – beauty trends. Scroll down to discover the hair and makeup London has to offer this season.

1. Bold brows

We’ll start off with a fairly tame look. Cara Delevingne’s thick ‘n’ bushy brows aren’t leaving us anytime soon, but a neater and more trimmed approach seemed popular amongst runway show guests.

2. Neon block colours

If you’re a fan of bright colours (and not blending your eyeshadow), then you’re in serious luck. Bright yellows, greens and pinks made an appearance throughout London Fashion Week, making an unparalleled statement.

3. ‘No makeup’ makeup

On the other (and safer) end of the beauty spectrum, fashion-goers rocked a more natural look. The key to this trend is a slick of mascara, minimal foundation and a lot of all-over bronzer.

PIXI Beauty Balm

To get the same dewy, post-holiday look as these girls, use the PIXI Beauty Balm in place of your foundation. Its lightweight texture avoids that cakey look and leaves you with a flush of healthy bronzed goodness.

4. Glitter eyeliner

This particularly popular trend featured both on and off the catwalk, as did coloured liquid liner for a playful and eye-opening finish.

The Too Faced Glitter Pop Eyeliner provides a jam-packed punch of glittery pigment, helping you to recreate this goddess-like look seen at London Fashion Week.

5. Statement lip

Of course London Fashion Week was going to stick to some of the classics, too. Bold red lips are here to stay – and rightly so. Pair this loud lip pigment with a stripped back eye look to nail a truly chic day-to-night style.

6. Blunt lobs

Flawless long bobs – also known as lobs – were a prevalent theme amongst the runway attendees who sported poker-straight ‘dos, usually teamed with a block fringe.

7. Graphic eye

Yeaaah…There’s a lot to digest with this one. If you’re feeling particularly expressive like this LFW-goer, whack out the liquid liner and get creative! For those not feeling so brave, play it safe by sticking to just the eyelids, drawing on sleek graphics for a trendy finish.

Hot off the catwalk

Our beauty expert Rebecca got it right with her London Fashion Week SS20 predictions. Artistic blushes were seen gracing the catwalks of the Kepaza fashion show, whilst Rocky Star kept it rock'n'roll with a heavy black graphic eyeliner.
