The Best Oscars Glam from the Past 10 Years
February has rolled around once more, and we couldn't be more excited. Despite it being the month for both Valentine's Day and Pancake Day, February is also home to the Oscars, and we've been impatiently waiting to see what the likes of Emma Stone, Lady Gaga and Rachel Weisz are going to pull out of the bag.
Sure, it’s exciting to see whether or not our favourite actors get their winning moment, but let’s face it – three hours is a long time to commit to (especially for us millennials). No, what we’re really here for is our quick fix of outstanding hair, makeup and fashion. So, while we wait in anticipation to see what the MUAs of Hollywood can conjure up, let’s look back on the most glam beauty looks from the last decade. Warning: there’s a LOT of red lippy involved.
Sydney Sweeney (2020)
The Euphoria star shows us exactly how to rock cool-girl makeup without having to pile on the gemstones and sparkle. Instead, she flaunts a classic bold lip paired with subtle shimmer shadow that makes her eyes pop. We're obsessed, and can expect to see more of this look throughout the year.
Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise Cream Eyeshadow
Combine this cream eyeshadow with your favourite red lippy for the ultimate Oscar-worthy look.
Lucy Boynton (2019)
Lucy Boynton hit the red carpet in 2019 with a look that's fit for a royal. From her perfectly coiffed hair to a regal purple gown, there's no doubt that she bought style, elegance and sophistication to the Oscars. But, as beauty lovers, there's one particular aspect of her look that we appreciated the most - those eyebrows! Fluffed and groomed to perfection, they're the brow goals we dream of.
Anastasia Beverly Hills #3 Ombre Brow Kit
A brow kit by ABH is all you'll ever need to achieve the perfect arch. Brush, groom and define hairs to match Lucy, or any other celeb style, and confidently flaunt red-carpet-ready brows.
Danai Gurira (2018)
If you’re going to make a statement, do it like Black Panther star Danai Gurira. This detailed, bold white embellishment gave the star a real glam edge, making her style completely unparalleled.
Joico Instatint Titanium Temporary Colour Shimmer Spray
Are you rocking a shaved head? Copy the look (as best as you can using your freehand skills) with this silver spray for a jazzed up style.
Emma Roberts (2017)
We told you red lipstick would make an appearance! However, this is not the feature we’re focusing on. Instead, we’re here to appreciate Emma's auburn Hollywood curls. Team that pigment with porcelain skin and you’re onto a real glam winner.
L'Oreal Paris L'Oreal Colorista Spray 1 Day Colour
Take a leaf out of Emma Roberts’ book and mix up your look by embracing warm copper hues for a true hint of Hollywood luxe.
Lady Gaga (2016)
Besides the epic blonde ‘do, Gaga pumps up the glam by drawing attention to arguably one of her best features: her eyes.
Huda Beauty Classic Lash

Inika Vegan Lipstick
Swipe on this certified vegan formula for a pigment that is just as glam and bold as the shade Chrissy wears.
Chanel Iman (2014)
We’re not going to lie, the dress definitely caught our attention first but once we tore our eyes away, that smoky eye Chanel was styling out had us captivated.

Inject that blacker-than-black smoky eye into your next glam session with this ultimate beauty tool.
Olivia Munn (2013)
Olivia Munn had to make our list at some point, and what better example to use than her stylish 2013 winged liner look. Nothing quite screams ‘classic’ like a sleek up-do and cat-eye liner.
Illamasqua Illustrator Pen
With an expertly precise nib, you too can create the sharpest of points for a truly professional finish.
Angelina Jolie (2012)
If there was ever a queen of glam, it would always be Angelina Jolie. From the voluminous locks to the contoured complexion, Jolie’s glam team have hit the nail on the head when it comes to creating an iconic and timeless look.
Sleek MakeUP Cream Contour Kit
Now we’re not saying you’re going to get Jolie’s signature cheekbone structure through using this palette, but you can get pretty damn close. Fake it till you make it with the iconic Sleek MakeUP Cream Contour Kit.
Jennifer Lawrence (2011)
Find us a sexier photo of J-Law, we’ll wait. Here, Jennifer pulls off arguably the best nude lip to compliment her smokey eye glam, balancing out her overall complexion for the perfect look.
MAC Matte Lipstick
Swipe on a pop of this legendary nude pigmented formula from MAC to recreate Jennifer Lawrence’s iconic 2011 Oscars look.
Penelope Cruz (2010)
Adding drama to her look, Penelope’s MUA has exaggerated the eye socket by elongating the eyeliner and blending it in with a warm, deep eyeshadow tone. Pair this with her impossibly long eyelashes and you’re onto a winner!
